KFI, represented by Prof Drajat Martianto Prof Drajat Martianto, in collaboration with Nutrition International dan TechnoServe conducted a landscape analysis of rice fortification in Indonesia. The activity, which took place during February-March 2023, aimed to provide information on the feasibility and potential sustainability of rice fortification in Indonesia. The landscape analysis is also an update of the rice fortification landscape analysis conducted by WFP in 2021.
This activity involves various parties collecting information through in-depth interviews and conducting FGD FGDs with relevant stakeholders. In this sequence of activities, a visit was also made to PT Thara Jaya Mandiri. This rice industry has implemented good practices of integrating Premix Kernel Production and Blending in Rice Milling Units.
In the presentation of the analysis results, Prof. Drajat said that the analysis of rice fortification landscape renewal has succeeded in formulating several important factors that can be used as input for the Indonesian government's decision-making to determine the implementation of fortification policy.
